Langford. I have had volunteer experience in food banks, and find myself constantly amazed by the amount of people still in need in our bountiful country. By taking this challenge I hope to have a more profound understanding of those living in poverty. Raising welfare rates is necessary because in Canada nobody should go hungry, and we need to raise the rates so that our disadvantaged can meet the cost of living. As an aspiring nurse, resident of BC, and a human being, I believe that we all need to contribute so that all humanity can have a greater sense of well being.
