I was born and raised in Vancouver I have had the opportunity to experience the growth, successes and challenges society faces in Metro Vancouver. I live in Metro Vancouver with my wife and two young kids, where we are all involved in supporting our local community and I constantly reflect on the challenges my kids will face as they get older. I want to ensure they are aware and educated now that allows them to be a part of solutions to improve poverty not just in our local community but inspire change world-wide.
I am privileged to work at Vancity, a financial cooperative focused on society’s well-being and that we continually challenge ourselves to educate, inform and work towards creating collaborative sustainable solutions. The Welfare Food Challenge is one way to create awareness and education and ignite positive change.
